Historic Vernacular Rehab

This project returned some glitz to a turn of the century (1900's) home. The uses of rooms were reoriented to make the most of the space that was available. Three disjointed bedrooms were turned into two, and the extra room was divided to make way for a laundry area, walk-closet with storage loft and a light-filled on-suite bathroom. The project also led to the discovery that the large "backyard" also included a separate lot which was later developed by others. The front porch was also opened up and rebuilt, which added that special something that was missing.
